Attention

Break tasks into short, manageable segments

Consider playing non-vocal music in the background or through headsets

Lower expectations for written work and use alternative methods to record

               information

Review and simplify the design of worksheets and tests, limiting each page

               to one or two activities

Avoid unnecessary pictures or visual stimuli

               Provide prompts as needed

Use special cue phrases to regain attention if it wanes, such as “Right, here

we go,” “Wait for it,” “Now for the interesting bit,” “The next clip is amazing,”

               or “We’re nearly there now.”
