Social Skills
Include the child in small groups with no more than two other children
whenever possible
Reward positive behaviors like sharing and cooperating
Teach the child how to respond appropriately when provoked, such as
walking away or talking to a teacher
Encourage participation in activities with supervised socialization, like
Scouts or sports
Discuss the consequences of their actions on themselves and others
Use visual prompts like STOP, THINK, DO to remind the child to think
before acting
