Emotional Regulation
Parents of children with ADHD are very familiar with the intense
emotional episodes—such as outbursts, meltdowns, and tantrums that
can leave both parent and child feeling drained and sometimes
helpless
Teaching emotional regulation skills to children with ADHD is possible
After children have a a better understanding of emotions and the
related vocabulary, we can help them start identifying their own
emotions
Recognizing their emotions brings them closer to learning how to
manage them
