3.3 Proofreading

The editorial stage is reserved for proofreading, with the goal being to have a
fair copy of the manuscript ready to move to production. Series editors, proof-
readers and authors are involved in this stage. The series editor manages the
process: he assigns the proofreader and returns the corrections to the author for
revision (see fig. 3.8). Figure 3.9 shows the overview page of the editorial stage.
