3 Editor
As an editor you can receive submissions, manage the review, the editorial and
the production of the document (see also workflow at chapter 1). In OMP the
workflow is represented in the following steps (see fig. 3.1).

As an editor you manage the steps, assign reviewers and other roles. The fol-
lowing chapters describe each single step in detail. An overview:
• Submission
receive the submission by the author and assign an editor
• Internal review
assign internal reviewers and external to the documtent to check the con-
tent
• External review
assign external reviewers to the documtent to check the content
• Proofreading
assign proofreaders to check wording and spelling
• Typesetting
assign typesetters to check the layout
