dc.description.abstract Aim: The present study aimed to develop, translate, and validate a Kannada-language questionnaire to assess parental satisfaction with cochlear implant rehabilitation services in children. Methods: A survey design was employed, and the study was carried out in three phases: (1) development and linguistic validation of the questionnaire (PSRS-CI-K), (2) administration of the tool to 100 Kannada-speaking parents of children with CIs, and (3) statistical analysis for reliability and validity. The questionnaire comprised of sections on child and parent demographics, pre-implant evaluation and counselling, and post-implant rehabilitation services. Reliability was assessed by Cronbach’s alpha, and construct validity by Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Discriminant Analysis. Results: The developed instrument had excellent internal consistency, with Cronbach’s alpha values of 0.824 for pre-implant and 0.891 for post-implant sections. PCA revealed four interpretable components: Therapy Outcomes, Support & Professional Interaction, Service access and Resource constraints, and Caregiver Burden, explaining 60.87% of the variance cumulatively. Discriminant validity was also confirmed with low inter-component correlations (r² < 0.132). Conclusion: The Kannada parental satisfaction questionnaire showed good reliability and construct validity,so it is making it as a valuable tool for assessing satisfaction with CI rehabilitation services. The results indicates that satisfaction is multidimensional which is influenced by therapy quality, accessibility, emotional burden, and professional support. This questionnaire can be used for clinical improvements, inform family-centered care, and assisting outcome monitoring in CI programs within Kannada-speaking populations. en_US
