dc.description.abstract Yogic science is one of the six orthodox systems of Indian philosophy which disciplines the human body at all the dimensions of health. It regulates various functions of the body and harmonises both body and mind. It has various classifications and popular among these is the Asthanga Yoga as proposed by Maharshi Patanjali. Pranayama is the fourth limb in asthanga yoga which sustains life. It is considered as the antharanga sadhana along with Pratyahara. Bhramari Pranayama is a type of pranayama owing many beneficial effects on health. The present day, is in need of bhramari like yogic practices which soothens the mind and body as well. This article is a compilation and meta-analysis of various clinical studies conducted to prove the beneficial effects of Bhramari Pranayama on all the 5 dimensions of health.
