dc.description.abstract Tele-rehabilitation refers to a mode of service delivery where therapy is imparted through tele-mode and tele-rehabilitation is extensively used in the treatment of communication disorders. Many efficacy studies have been reported earlier especially in clients with aphasia; however, most of these studies are western studies and the results cannot be generalised to Indian context, this fact necessitated the present study. The present attempt is a case study; the client was a 50-year-old female. She was a double graduate and was working as a teacher. The client had a history carcinoma of the breast and underwent radical mastectomy surgery following which she developed stroke. The client was diagnosed with Global aphasia in the initial assessment. The client received therapy in three phases of 6 months, 1 year and 6 months. Aphasia quotient increased over time and the client benefited with therapy and showed improvement on all the domains of Western Aphasia Battery during this period. She returned to job, however the client possessed some residual deficits on spontaneous speech and word retrieval domains.
